Video Documentation: Events, Processes, Comparison and R&D Videos

Recording and documenting events can be a useful practice. In areas such as training, research & development, a manufacturing process, and product testing, video can be used for careful analysis, especially with the ability to slow down, stop, or speed up a process (such as time lapse), and the ability to edit material for comparison. This information may also be archived for future comparison.

Evidence is an arena where video can bring a setting, a lifestyle, a process, or a visual into the courtroom and to the jury to help illustrate a point in a case. A day in the life, an accident setting, or a process all lend themselves to video presentations in the courtroom. These can have a tremendous impact on illustrating a point.

"Following the trial, I asked the jurors whether they would have preferred to personally inspect the drive units, but they all indicated that because your videos depicted the construction and operation so clearly, no inspection was necessary."
