Always looking

I recently had an opportunity to describe the 50Films project for a project I am interested in. I had to really focus on what the project was, how it would benefit me as an artist, and how else it might have an impact. I also had to define the parameters of the project - all of which was very enlightening and energizing. Here are a few of the things which came up:

One of the first things that I realized while doing this was how much support for this project I have received. I have had many friends and acquaintances suggest ideas for programs - many of which have been set in motion.

I have also had the opportunity to learn and plan more thoroughly for efficient shooting and editing. I am looking to keep each project’s shooting and editing to a minimum (there are 50 of them!) - and working on these projects so far has helped me shoot and edit with efficiency in mind.

I have started this blog! My first time blogging - and an opportunity to help cement the learning for myself, and share it with others.

And “Always looking” - I have found that there is not an hour in my waking day that I do not think about this 50Films project. It has taken on an exploratory mode for me to look for opportunities in all areas of my life and daily experiences. It has really given me a new creative tool for looking at new opportunities. It has been amazing the stories I have found just beneath the surface in my daily routines - more greatness around than meets the eye!

Thanks for reading - feel free to offer feedback - and also any ideas for a short film that you may have.
